I
was born in Sledge, Mississippi and graduated
from Delta State University
with a degree in Home Economics. I majored in Home Economics because I love to
make and create things. I also had a scheme to marry a young student, Jimmy Furr, and thought that degree might come in
handy. We did marry, and we moved to New Orleans,
Louisiana where Jimmy went to seminary and I
taught at Walter L. Cohen High School. After graduation, I became
a stay-at-home mom with two little girls. We moved back to Mississippi
and also lived in Nebraska.
Later we moved to Tennessee,
and I started teaching gifted students.

Hobbies:
walking, reading, Sodoku and logic puzzles,
traveling, scrap booking, gardening, stained glass, miniatures, quilting,
playing with the most precious baby in the world (my little grandson), and
doing activities with my terrific students
